More about the fashion designer Christian Lacroix (1951)
When the French designer launched his first couture collection, in 1987, his eccentric theatricality immediately seduced the fashion scene. He had originally studied art history aiming to become a museum curator. A taste for the past that was recognisable in his garments that evoked the baroque style and used the crinoline and 18th century “pouf”. In 2010, he stopped designing fashion.
