Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are officially husband and wife. Congrats to the happy couple! On Saturday morning, May 19th, 2018 we were witnessing the most highly-anticipated wedding of the decade - the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The two wed earlier today at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor. The bride wore a boatneck gown designed by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy, accessorizing with Cartier diamond earrings and the Order of Splendor tiara once worn by Queen Mary. Presiding over the ceremony was Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby and additional remarks were delivered by Bishop Michael Curry, who quoted Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. noting “the redemptive power of love.” Led by Karen Gibson, The Kingdom Choir performed Ben E. King’s classic “Stand By Me.” Cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason performed as well. Among the 600-plus guests were Oprah, Victoria and David Beckham, Amal and George Clooney, Serena William and Alexis Ohanian and Priyanka Chopra. After the ceremony, surrounded by the royal family, page boys and flower girls and Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, the couple sealed their union with a kiss. Congrats to the newlyweds, the newly-minted Duke and Duchess of Sussex! See also MORE BLOGS about the Royal Wedding.
