Art: Cloud Gate sculpture at Millennium Park, Chicago by Anish Kapoor

While surfing on internet tonight I saw this inspiring sculpture. It's the Cloud Gate sculpture at Millennium Park, Chicago by the artist Anish Kapoor. The Cloud Gate sculpture, also known as "The Bean" is one of the highlights of Millennium Park. Designed by the artist Anish Kapoor, the Bean sculpture is made of 168 highly polished stainless steel plates - giving the appearance of liquid mercury. Up close, the highly reflective nature of the sculpture captures the beautiful skyline of Chicago. What a beautiful and impressive piece of art! Be Inspired .......

Art: Beautiful artwork from abstract expressionist artist Jared Boyd (01)

While surfing on internet today I saw these beautiful paintings from the abstract expressionist artist Jared Boyd from Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. I had immediately a connection with them. Love the beauty, brightness, freshness and harmony he is showing in his work. Beautiful also to see all the layers he used in his artwork. I am really touched by his refined artwork. Take a look below at these 3 paintings. Aren't they gorgeous to see? The 2nd photo is a detailphoto from the 1st one. Will write 2 more blogs about his inspiring artwork. Be Inspired .......
More about the artist Jared Boyd
What Jared wrote about himself:
My name is Jared Boyd. I earned a degree in mechanical engineering after serving in the Marine Corps. After graduating I quickly learned that I needed a hobby to occupy my extra time. I was at a local art festival in 2015 when I discovered a particular artists work that really moved me. I couldn't stop thinking about how her art made me feel. I visited her the next day and asked if she would mentor me. That began my artistic journey.
Artist Statement
My process is to create many layers and marks on the canvas as to reveal the history of a piece. My intent is for the layers and mark making to illustrate an emotional and colorful journey on the canvas that is both visually appealing and balanced. It's my belief that art brings special meaning to life. It's my hope that others can find special meaning in art as well.

My art is a response to the environment around me. The intention of my approach to painting is to be gestural, intuitive and thoughtful. The sources of my inspiration are many and include emotion, thought, meditation, music, nature and life. I utilize a variety of mediums including acrylic paint, graphite, charcoal, gesso and oil pastels.

Fashion: Elegant hats from the UK

While surfing on internet I found these beautiful & elegant hats, designed by James Lock & Co. Ltd. Aren they lovely to see? Be Inspired ..........

About the company
James Lock & Co. is founded in 1676. Lock & Co. is a family owned business in London, providing ladies' and gentlemen's quality headwear and a high standard of personal service developed from over 300 years of experience. Ask any London taxi-driver for "Lock's" and without question he will take you to Number 6, St James's Street, S.W.1, the home of James Lock & Co., Hatters. A postcard from abroad was once promptly delivered there, although it was addressed simply to 'The best hatters in the world, London'. Established not later than 1676 to wait upon the Court at St. James's the business now serves customers from all corners of the earth. Its survival is the consequence of progressive conservatism, of confidence in quality and a demonstration of the effectiveness of persistent personality and individuality in an increasingly mass-minded world. RUGS: Beautiful abstract rugs by Jonathan Josefsson (02)

Hand-tufted rugs inspired by patterns found in biology.
Abstract art isn’t always found on the walls. For Swedish artist Jonathan Josefsson, it’s also found on the floor in the form of rugs. Completely tufted by hand, Josefsson’s rugs are the result of experimenting with colors, free forms and patterns, while being reminiscent of patterns found in biology (think intestines and human cell formations). Just take a look below for inspiration.
