Beautiful art by Anna Razumovskaya - "Romanticism"

About the artist:
With her classic figurative forms, highly acclaimed Russian artist Anna Razumovskaya magically captures the lyrical romanticism of renaissance portraiture, while creating art that is completely modern and original. Anna is inspired by the graceful elegance of the female form, at turns, classically alluring, demure and provocative. Her art has a pervasive sense of “romanticism” and the passionate and dynamic application of paint on the canvas and the artist’s signature use of expressive colour, combine to create her uniquely recognizable style.
Anna is a graduate of the Russian State University For Arts, where she was awarded the distinction of high-class artist in 1991. Subsequently she studied art in Germany, Belgium and Holland. With solo exhibitions in New York, Paris, Toronto, Amsterdam, Antwerp and Berlin and numerous works in private collections across the globe, she has become one of the most exciting and collectable artists on the contemporary scene.
Born at the height of the cold war, Anna was exposed to very different worlds, that of the austere communist regime alongside the sophistication and feminity of her fashion-conscious mother. She excelled at art school and enjoyed the freedom of learning and perfecting her technique in a variety of different media. Of particular interest to her were the portrait masters of the late 19th Century, John Singer Sargent, the Russian painter Valentin Serov and earlier masters such as Peter Paul Rubens and Rembrandt. She travelled around Europe absorbing the influences of artists past and present and finally settled in Canada which she now feels to be her true home.
Anna Razumovskaya, the artist
Looking at Anna Razumovskaya's works you always getting a feeling of artist sole tension behind the painting. "Romanticism" is the word to describe Anna's works. Interlacing of quiet tones with the bright color impact at the end is the trade mark of the artist. Abstract elements are the big aspect of every artwork and in a combination with the sensual dynamics, creates an unforgettable experience for the viewer.

More About The Artist
Karin Vermeer is born and raised in the city of Tilburg, The Netherlands in 1970. In 1994 she finished the Willem de Kooning Academy in the direction Fashion Design, Illustration and Painting. After finishing her education she directly started to work for many different clients, this in art and scenery painting. In early 2000 she specialized more in digital design with different programs. Nowadays she mainly designs paintings on demand, specifically intended for the interior branch. She still makes scenery paintings, illustrations and autonomous works. Her work is always very versatile. She combines realism and abstract matters creating and evolving beautiful pieces of art. You could best define her as a creative myriapod that doesn‘t caution any material. She has much empathy and a good feel for trends and styling. The materials she uses are acrylic- and oilpaints, modeling pastes, gels, photography and many other unusual materials.
Art by Dutch artist Karin Vermeer.
What Karin wrote about her work:
'My work is a mix of different pictures/images and paint which I combine on the computer and canvas to create a new image. My favourite subject is the female face. Most of the portraits I create are a mix of four to five different faces, mostly of different race and origin. On my computer I create a new, non existing person out of them. Beside creating and building new persons I also make pictures in my studio of models that I use. Together with these pictures and the pictures of old walls, grunge posters and all kinds of other interesting subjects I create a new image. When the digital part is ready I print the image and start painting over it. I create thick structures and a lot of layers of paint and gel over them. In this way I try to make a digital image tangible again. My work is not so much about explanation and concept. It is a game and all about the image. I start with no idea in general but by looking at images that interest me and by mixing them, slowly a new image evolves.

Interior Design: Beautiful retro furniture design

While surfing on internet today I saw these beautiful and practical Retro designs, like this 'Metro' side/wall table inspired by the years 50 and 60. Because of his compact size also useful as bed table, coffee table, hall table, small writing desk or a modern make-up table. Sidetable 'Metro' is available at the Dutch company Tafel-Design.nl in white, black and wood. They have more inspiring products, e.g. the design hocker 'Mr. Grasshopper', the Ergonomic design stool 'Ercolino' in beech wood as well as the 'Baby Ball Design Chair' for the little ones. I will write more blogs about their interesting products later on. For more information, see the enclosed link below.
