Dutch Design: Interesting furniture design by interior designer Piet Hein Eek

Today I spotted some interesting furniture designs from the Dutch interior designer Piet Hein Eek, like his famous reclaimed wooden bookcase, an oaken office chair, a tube chair and a stainless steel table. He is a very succesful interior designer with a very personal style. Piet Hein Eek is making designs from e.g. reclaimed wood, (stainless) steel, synthetics, zinc etc.

Piet Hein Eek maakt ruig design. Veel sloophout, maar ook staal, RVS, zink en kunststof. Als je naar zijn collectie kijkt, dan lijkt het alsof hij alleen dingen maakt die hij leuk vindt. Dan weer een stoel, dan weer een tafel, dan weer een tafelvoetbalspel. Het werken met sloophout past natuurlijk helemaal in de duurzaamheidstrend die nu aan de gang is, maar de trend van sloophout is echt wel mede door Piet Hein Eek ontstaan. Piet Hein Eek is dan ook erg succesvol en heeft een geheel eigen stijl die je eigenlijk direct herkent.
