Amazing hotel with sophisticated atmosphere in Mallorca

Hotel Cort. What a beautiful hotel in Palma, Mallorca! Love the choice of materials, textiles, colors and details. Hotel Cort is situated in the center of the old town in Palma, Mallorca. It has an unique character and a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Each room has its own charm.

They created mood boards for the rooms with the aim to potentiate the differences that they already had on their own. They wanted to create in the guest´s mind a memory of well-being and warmth to take away with them after their stay at Hotel Cort. The choice of materials, textiles and colors as well as the attention to detail were the propositions to achieve this result. The resources of blue and ultramarine colors representing the Mediterranean sea and warm materials such as wood, leather and linen mixed with “llenguas” (traditional Mallorquin fabrics) give the whole an up-to-date and sophisticated atmosphere.

Travel: Wonderfully colourful Australia travel poster, 1930 by Percy Trompf

Be inspired by this wonderful Australian travel poster from 1930 by artist Percy Trompf .....
More about the artist
The artist Percy Trompf (1902-1964) was born in Victoria, Australia and began his commercial artistic career designing confectionery packaging. He also designed thousands of advertising posters, but the widespread recognition of his posters for the Australian National Travel Association and the Victorian Government Railway is probably what he is most known for. His bright, colourful, optimistic pictures had wide appeal, especially during the Depression and in the 1930s his posters attracted lots of attention overseas.

FURNITURE DESIGN: LE CORBUSIER - DESIGN CLASSIC

While surfing this morning on internet I found this beautiful design classic by Le Corbusier. Be Inspired ......
About the designer:
Charles-Édouard Jeanneret, better known as Le Corbusier (October 6, 1887 – August 27, 1965), was an architect, designer, urbanist and writer, famous for being one of the pioneers of what is now called modern architecture.

He was born in Switzerland and became a French citizen in 1930. His career spanned five decades with his buildings constructed throughout Europe, India and America. He was a pioneer in studies of modern high design and was dedicated to providing better living conditions for the residents of crowded cities.

Le Corbusier adopted his pseudonym in the 1920s, allegedly deriving it in part from the name of a distant ancestor, "Lecorbésier." For more information, see the enclosed link below.
