Interior: The Beauty & Simplicity of Japanese Interior Design

Love the beauty & simplicity of Japanese interior design combined with wood & water elements and traditional Japanese plants such as bamboo and bonsai. The incorporation of unique aesthetics borrowed from Taoism makes Japanese interior design beautiful, simple and modest. There are several ways that you can incorporate these styles in your home to achieve their level of harmony brought by them. This blogpost is from 08-01-2015 and will be republished today. Be Inspired ........
Saturating some of the unique aspect of nature into the interior design of your home is one of the main pillars of the Japanese culture. In this way they are showing respect to the world they live in. You can add traditional Japanese plants such as bamboo and bonsai or use other plants as long as you keep them light and lovely. The presence of life and the green environment will give your home Japanese feel. Another aspect of Japanese interior design involves the use of large and expansive windows to bring out the beauty of nature inside the house.
Japanese interior design also appreciates the serene sound of bubbling water. You can incorporate this type of setting in your house by having soaking tabs installed. To give it a more Japanese look, try having the tabs small, deep and made with a side bench.

Japanese interior designs use wood elements and bamboo as a way of trying to harmonize nature into their homes. By using wooden flooring, doors and frames can (like bamboo), you will get that Japanese feel.

In the entry of your house, you can have a Japanese style entryway where it will serve as a place to receive visitors. You can place a shelf where your guests can store their shoes. Don't forget the indoor slippers they can put on. To enhance the Japanese style, you can have a stone tile flooring in the entry way.

Kitchendesign: A real masterpiece from Toncelli .........

Would like to share with you today this beautiful kitchendesign from Toncelli called 'Wind'. A real refined masterpiece ...... Be Inspired. Earlier I wrote more blogs about Kitchen Designs, SEE HERE

More about the design:
Recognizable by its handmade beveled door. Minimal design, but full of charm. The tops seem to be floating and light while still using massive materials like cement mousse or the most precious natural stones. Thickness is important but processed in order to minimize the perception. Wind best reflects the Toncelli style: rich but discreet.

Furniture Design: EAJY launches its 1st flagship product, the Beams Chair

While surfing on internet I found these beautiful chairs, called Beams Chairs from EAJY. What an interesting
industrial design! The Beams Chair is the first wooden I-beam chair in the world. It is very lightweight (only 4.5kg) yet extremely strong, elegant and comfortable. Industrial style has been gaining popularity in recent years. It brings an interesting touch to a living space with sharp lines and simple form and with the appreciation of raw and rustic materials. With the Beams Chair, transforming a space to more modern and sophisticated industrial style becomes an easy task. Inspired by the steel I-beams of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, the Beams Chair is made from wood I beams, which reduce the weight of the structure  while enhancing the strength of the chair. This blogpost is a repost of my blog of 16-02-2016. Be Inspired ......
More about EAJY
EAJY designers Eric and Johnny were college buddies. They dreamed of having their own furniture brand, so they came to Germany to further their study and hone their skills. Along the way their designs had been selected by 2012 and 2013 IMM Cologne [D3] Contests. Their confidence grew and finally founded EAJY Design Studio in 2015. Beams Chair is the first industrial style product that they put on the market.

What a beautiful design for a cat bed! Take a look at this wall-mounted cat bed by Mau Pets. Very useful and it looks like art. Love the fluent wave lines as well as the chosen material of wood. Unfortunately my cat Zolo passed away two years ago. She was such an adorable and loving cat. She brought joy and positive energy in my house. Would have bought this nice cat bed for her. Be Inspired .......

More about the design 'Nami'
Nami is an exquisite piece that redefines the traditional perception of cat furniture. Inspired by the fluid elegance of a wave or “Nami” in Japanese. This stunning wall-mounted structure marries form and function. The finely sanded, butter-smooth wooden beds are complemented by gradual wave-like steps, offering your cat a comfortable and stylish place to relax and unwind. Even when unoccupied, it stands as a remarkable decorative addition to your space, embracing an extraordinary blend of art and comfort for your cat.

My lovely cat Zolo. I took care of her for 14 years.

Furniture Design: The Yose-gi Stool by Japanese designer Yoshiaki Ito

While surfing this morning on internet I found this beautiful piece of furniture. It's the Yose-gi stool by Brooklyn-based Japanese product designer Yoshiaki Ito, a piece inspired by a traditional Japanese Shinto kumi-ki puzzle. What a creative design! Yoshiaki founded his own studio, Tamen, where he’s producing work that’s inspired by traditional Japanese designs and techniques. This blogpost is a repost of my blog of 16-09-2020. Be Inspired .......
The complex stool was designed using the Japanese inlaid wood technique Yosegi, which results in beautiful surface designs, while the underside is cut to form geometric patterns. The stools interlock like a puzzle when the legs of two stools come together, thanks to the Japanese joinery technique called Tsugite. So, if you own two of the stools and need more space, join them together to form a single stool. It’s like a furniture puzzle that’s also functional!
More about the company Tamen and Yoshiaki Ito
TAMEN embodies the meaning of creating pieces inspired by the many facets of life. Each piece exhibits its own story and the ability to adapt to each occasion. Having adopted traditional Japanese craftsmanship, Yoshiaki Ito designs limitless pieces which exhibit many surfaces and moods and sets the tone for different scenes and purposes. Each piece is crafted in Japan; every attention to detail produced by a master craftsman.

Aesthetical harmony
Love to share with you this fantastic Archetipo island design created by the Italian company L’Ottocento in collaboration with makethatstudio. What a beautiful and elegant design! It owes its character to the shape of the doors, to the colour matching and to the two cylindric steel feet which lighten and support the structure while combining with the diameter of the tap.
