ART: PALAZZO DARIO BY CLAUDE MONET - 1908 (02)

While surfing today on internet I saw this beautiful painting from the French painter Claude Monet. Did not see this one before. What a beauty!
More about the artist.
Claude Monet, 1840–1926, French landscape painter. Monet was a founder of Impressionism. He adhered to its principles throughout his long career and is considered the most consistently representative painter of the school as well as one of the foremost painters of landscape in the history of art. As a youth in Le Havre, Monet was encouraged by the marine painter Boudin to paint in the open air, a practice he never forsook. After two years (1860–62) with the army in Algeria, he went to Paris, over parental objections, to study painting. In Paris, Monet formed lasting friendships with the artists who would become the major impressionists including Pissarro, Cézanne, Renoir, Sisley and Bazille. He and several of his friends painted for a time out-of-doors in the Barbizon district. Monet soon began to concern himself with his lifelong objective: portraying the variations of light and atmosphere brought on by changes of hour and season.

ART: Beautiful artwork by artist William Rosewood - The Tancho Koi Fishes

I would like to show you some pieces that caught my eye this week like these beautiful oil paintings Series π = ∞ , IV 2016 from the artist William Rosewood. It is his second collection.
William’s explanation about his paintings are: ‘These paintings symbolize the core of humanity. He embraced the thought of how humans are all the same yet still differ from each other. To show that you are still unique in this world The Tancho Koi Fish represents yourself. All Koi swim in the same pond or for ourself the world. “π = ∞” like the World in the Universe is endless. Back to the world and all living species on it. So different but yet the same’. More information about this inspiring artist, see the text below as well as the direct link to his website.
More about the artist William Rosewood
William Rosewood, a talented twenty-three year old artist. He discovered the world of art when he was little. He was always exploring new things, designing and looking for solutions. When Rosewood was sixteen years old he started his own clothing business. Having no business experience beforehand, he had thrown himself into the deep end, working on meetings, sponsorships and promotion on his own.
When he turned 17 he attended the Willem de Kooning Academy. Here Rosewood learned the artistry in commercial image-making. Whilst he graduated in February 2015 he got his bachelors degree in fine arts, he doesn’t have any fond memories of his time at the academy. Rosewood became rebellious towards the simple-minded ideas that were generally accepted. Assuredly he went against the grain and maintained and created his own perception. He developed a particular interest in exploring and pushing the limit of what is possible. This expressed itself not only in painting, but also in experimenting with different materials. Rosewood developed a characteristic style in which he combines the usage of unconventional materials such as blood with large visualisations.
William Rosewood, the artist
Rosewood’s strength can be found in his ability to combine art with his entrepreneurial skills. He takes pleasure into working together with different artists, focusing on their expertise whilst creating art together.
In June 2015 Rosewood began to work on his first exhibition: ‘The Richness of nature we destroy’.This series focuses on nature’s strength that often is underestimated and forgotten. Here Rosewood combines death with 24 carat gold to symbolise the resurrection of nature’s richness.
After his own Exhibition in Miami called Goldrush the 25th of february he experienced a lot of attention for a young artist doing what he loves the most, telling his story through art.
Later this year he travelled throughout the UAE and produced new collections: PI=INFINITY, She Loves Me She Loves Me Not and Verum Colores.
Below you will find his upcoming exhibitions:
Concept Art Fair (during Art Basel 2016) and Spectrum Art Fair (during Art Basel) from November 30 till December 4th, 2016.
