More about Irene
My name is Irene Pouw. I live in Holland not so far from the city Amsterdam. I am a blogger, haute couture lover and (hobby) photographer. I am a great lover of art. I always had this interest to discover beauty, colors, harmony and diversity in art. Art can surprise and touch us in so many ways. I feel a deep desire to express myself more in creativity, using colors and abstract forms. Would like to develop myself the coming years as a creative artist by learning certain techniques and discover unknown areas of freedom and expression. I am looking forward to this journey. :-)  Hope I can inspire you .......

Gardens: The Ada Hofman botanic garden, the Netherlands

In August 2012, my sister and I visited the beautiful Ada Hofman botanic aquatic garden in the Netherlands. We really enjoyed! We had a fantastic sunny and relaxing day there full with inspiration and made, of course lots of inspiring photos. Beautiful memory. ❤
More about Ada Hofman, the designer
Approximately 30 gardens containing 50 ponds, including prefabricated versions and ponds constructed with liners, have been laid out around 3 large natural ponds. Together they in turn form one large garden. Ada Hofman has succeeded in assembling one of the largest collections of plants, shrubs and trees to be seen in Holland, totalling approximately 3000 different species.
Many animals have been put out in the ponds and also in the garden, such as grass snakes, frogs, blind worms, various types of fish, salamanders and lizards. The green frog population is the largest in the Netherlands. Birds are also enthusiastic visitors to the garden and the kingfisher is a regular guest. In the Summer they have butterflies, last year no less than 22 different species diurnal butterfly.
Another unique feature is the roof garden complete with pond. A 600 - square - metre garden has been laid out at a height of 3 metres on the roof of Ada Hofman's private house. From the roof garden visitors have a splendid view out over the aquatic garden and the private pond constructed in 1994. For more information please have a look at the enclosed link below.

Flashback: Dries van Noten S/S 2017 RTW

Be Inspired by these beautiful flashback photos from fashiondesigner Dries van Noten for his S/S 2017 RTW collection. The Japanese artist Azuma Makoto created floral ice sculptures for this show during Paris Fashion Week. The result was simply incredible and quite hard to forget. Daring a little bit more,” said Dries Van Noten, “Losing control … a little.” That’s how the designer described his emotional input for a collection that worked startling contrasts to great effect: jet black and chrome yellow, Victorian mourning clothes and brilliant florals, lace and denim. If delicacy is something of a Dries van Noten signature, he claimed he wanted to brutalise it this season, inject more spontaneity. We wanted a more brutal way of doing things,” declared Dries Van Noten, who must be the least brutalist designer on earth. “We just started to chop up garments and throw flower prints on. Everything contrasting!”
