The theme of Michael Kors' latest resort collection was “opulent minimalism”. We’re told he was inspired by a recent trip to Turkey. Kors did rich fabrics with ornate details in jewel tones and golds in simple, resort season-appropriate silhouettes. There were some (very cute) swimwear and sandal options for the beach-bound. Kors also provided some great transitional pieces like coats, pants and knits – as well as pieces that would work anywhere. Cool, work-appropriate shorts, tailored jackets and sleek shifts had a fun ’60s vibe with a modern twist. There were also, of course, a few floor-length evening options.
