Beautiful headboard with Mexican Otomi patterns. This fabric is handmade by the Otomi Indians of Central Mexico. I love the variations found throughout the style and the way that the animals seem to dance around in circles. Grace Bonney explains in the enclosed video how you can make this fantastic headboard:
The Otomi Indians of Mexico are a community known for its strong beliefs in co-existing in harmony with the natural environment. The designs are inspired by the plants and animals of the Otomi lands, as well as the rituals performed to be in harmony with the land, such as the harvest, planting and rain ceremonies.
