Hospitality: Old school Glamour & Comfort at Restaurant Maison Pickle, New York

Would like to show you today this elegant interior design from restaurant Maison Pickle in New York inspired by Rock N' Roll, old school glamour and classic Americana. Maison Pickle took over the iconic Ouest space in the Upper Westside to build a restaurant for New Yorkers. The owner Jacob Hadjigeorgis tells that they sought to establish a space where elegance is coupled with modern convenience. Its decor is a marriage of luxe and comfort with a subtle hint of rock and roll. At its core, Maison Pickle centers around "cocktails and the French Dip Sandwich" but it's all about the community and making good food for good people. Love the warm, inviting, chic atmosphere with lots of wood elements, the furniture design, like the green bar stools, the leather sofas as well as the huge chandelier. The custom chandelier that hangs over the whole dining room is via Punch Architecture. If I am in New York I am sure I will pay a visit at Maison Pickle! Take a look below for more inspiration. This is a repost from 02-05-2018.

New blue kitchen for NY City-based interior design company Homepolish

New York City-based interior design company Homepolish offers personalized interior design services via a network of more than 500 designers. They recently moved into a new office in New York and the interiors are dreamy to say the least. The new office CEO and co-founder, Noa Santos chose a space with large windows and an abundance of natural light pouring in. Looking at the 12,000-square-foot space today, you'd never imagine it once served 3 separate companies, in 3 separate work spaces, all with different floors and interior walls. Homepolish replaced all of the flooring and bleaching them for a lighter feel. In all, the makeover took 5 months to complete. Below you will find their beautiful new kitchen with blue cabinetry, brass pulls & a bubble chandelier. It became already a favorite hangout spot among Homepolish employees. I also added some other photos to give you an impression of the renovation. For all the photos, see the links below. Be Inspired .........

LIGHTING DESIGN: Beautiful Ostrea chandelier by John Pomp Studios (02)

Sometimes I get really excited while doing blog research. I was impressed by this beautiful Ostrea chandelier from John Pomp. What a great artist! John is devoted to glass for more than 20 years as a mastercraftsman. I am completely in love with his beautiful designs. I wrote earlier another Blog about his beautiful hand-blown glass pendants.

More about the artist:
John Pomp is an artist, trained as a painter and sculptor, devoted to glass for more than 20 years as a mastercraftsman. He learned the ancient art of Murano glassmaking from Italian maestros, transforming the seductive material into a classic modern collection of lighting and furniture. As an artist his creativity never rests. His desire to create beauty with artful pieces for interiors drew John Pomp to work with precious metals, lavish hides and exotic woods, all age-old crafts. Now a team of his talented artists and craftsmen make up multi-disciplinary studios under one roof in Philadelphia. This passion for craftsmanship drives John Pomp: to use traditional techniques to reveal the natural beauty of the material for a collection that is subtle, artistic and refined. The result is a highly crafted, technically sophisticated nouveau classic interiors collection that celebrates the quality of the materials and the hands that brought it to life. This is the luxury of furniture destined to be heirlooms.
