Beautiful Topkapi wallpaper by Martyn Lawrence Bullard for Schumacher

I guess you've noticed already that I am a huge fan of the designs from interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard. Today I found this fantastic, refined floral wallpaper in blue called 'Topkapi' from his collection for Schumacher. Derived from the panels of tile that lined the royal suites of the Ottoman sultans in Istanbul’s Topkapi Palace, Iznik patterns combine the traditional Ottoman patterns with Oriental elements to create a visual masterpiece that transcends cultures and eras. I wrote MORE BLOGS about this interesting interior designer. Be Inspired .......

Furniture Design: The E6 Chair by Nikita Bukoros

Below you will find this interesting furniture design: the E sofa series by designer Nikita Bukoros (ODESD2). This series combines functionality and aesthetics, which were inspired by Japanese culture. The frames and legs are made of steel, with wood lining the armrests. Available in a chair, sofas and ottomans.
Ukrainian design studio ODESD2 has released a series of new furniture pieces with bold, memorable design details. What’s cool about the company is that they have a design school and their goal is to pass along industrial design skills to future designers. Some of the new pieces were even designed by their students.
Thank you for reading this blogpost.

FURNITURE DESIGN: VITRA LOUNGE CHAIR & OTTOMAN

I really love this Vitra lounge chair & ottoman in black and white!
Charles & Ray Eames, 1956
The Lounge Chair is one of the most famous designs by Charles and Ray Eames. Created in 1956 it is now a classic in the history of modern furniture. Since 1956, the Eames Lounge Chair has combined ultimate comfort with both materials and workmanship of the highest quality. In the tradition of the English club chair, which inspired this classic design by Charles and Ray Eames, the original appearance of the Lounge Chair was defined by a dark wood veneer and black leather. However, the Eameses also created an early version with light-coloured leather upholstery. Developed in cooperation with the Eames Office, Vitra now introduces a new interpretation of the Lounge Chair. With white leather, polished aluminium and walnut veneer in a light finish, the new version harmonises perfectly with light-coloured interiors. The Lounge Chair is now also available in a version that allows maximum comfort for tall people.
