JEWELRY FROM YC JEWELS

Interesting new jewelry line designed by Yolanthe Cabau. Yolanthe created and launched her own jewellery line called YC Jewels. She’s been able to embed her creativity and love for designer accessories into a broad range of bracelets, necklaces, earrings, belly rings and more great jewellery.

About Yolanthe:
Yolanthe Sneijder Cabau was born on the Island Ibiza (Spain) on 19 March 1985. Yolanthe is a Dutch-Spanish actress, model, designer, TV presenter and director & founder of the ‘Free A Girl’ foundation. In July 2010, Yolanthe married Wesley Sneijder in Italy. DESIGN: Carbon Chair of Bertjan Pot & Moooi

Carbon Chair of Bertjan Pot and Marcel Wanders speaks of dedicated craftsmanship in connection to high tech materials. This chair was completely hand coiled and is 100% carbon fiber and epoxy (so, no metal frame!). The pattern on the seat looks random, but actually reflects the strength pattern. Every point on the rim of the chair is connected with the 4 points connecting the seat to the base-frame. Materials: black carbon fibre drained in epoxy resin. RUNWAY:JENNY PACKHAM FALL 2013

INSPIRATION:
Jenny Packham created a beautifully luxurious formal wear collection that was yes, perfect for a princess who cares about propriety. Gowns were graceful, with slight gathered pleats falling from the waist (often accented with a velvet band.) Starting the show with a soundtrack of horse hooves and vaguely baroque music, Packham transported the audience to the source of her inspiration: Parisian intellectual salons, where “noble and cultured women gathered to discuss the arts, the philosophy of Voltaire and Descartes and to produce and shape the literature of our time.” She drew her color story from these salons, a rich palette of blush browns, dusty pinks, black, aubergine and russet reds.
