Elegant bathroom for a Middle Eastern princess by interior designer Jean-Louis Deniot

To create her first Paris apartment, a Middle Eastern princess turns to designer Jean-Louis Deniot, who conjures a fresh, fanciful and feminine take on traditional elegance. Take a look at this elegant bathroom. It has such a calm and inviting atmosphere. The gold accents look extra luxurious against the grey-toned teal of the master bath of Jacob Delafon. The tub fittings are by Waterworks. The sconces are by Niermann Weeks and the Veere Grenney chair is covered in an Armani/Casa fabric. The chandelier is by Tony Duquette and the vanity, mirror and marble flooring are all custom designs. Be Inspired ........

Fashion: New footwear collection Vans x Van Gogh Museum NL

While surfing tonight on Bored Panda I saw this nice fashion collection inspired on the artwork of Vincent van Gogh, like his 'Sunflowers', 'Almond Blossom' and one of his letters that Vincent wrote to his brother Theo. This collection has been created by shoe company Vans & the Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam (NL).

Vans Classics footwear
Each model from the Vans x Van Gogh Museum footwear collection is available in five designs, inspired by masterpieces of Van Gogh. Nice detail: all shoes are finished with custom footbed art that mimics Van Gogh's memorable brush strokes. The collection is available worldwide from 3 August 2018. Be Inspired ......

Furniture Design:The Mass table by Alain Gilles for Bonaldo

While surfing on internet this afternoon I found this interesting table design. It's called 'the Mass table' designed by Alain Gilles for Bonaldo in 2016. What a great design to see! The first photo is with a Carrara marble top. The architecture of the base is very similar to a “crinoline”, the underskirt invented and used by women in high society in around 1830. But this architecture is also very modern and resembles the “wireframe” structure of a 3D CAD model used by architects and designers. These wireframes are what we designers see when sculpting a design in 3D on the computer. So, in a way, the base is a subtle mix of tradition and modernity. I wrote earlier MORE BLOGS about this interesting designer. Be Inspired .........

Painting Colors: Sherwin-Williams reveals its 2019 Color of the Year - Cavern Clay

Sherwin-Williams has revealed an earthy hue, Cavern Clay SW 7701, as its 2019 Color of the Year. The company describes Cavern Clay as a "warm terracotta color with ancient, elemental roots". They explain that it's a "nod to midcentury modern style, but with the soul of the American Southwest which together create the desert modern aesthetic." Ideal for both homes and commercial spaces, the rich color, which brings to mind the beauty of nature (think beaches, canyons and deserts) works beautifully with neutrals. A warm gray or deep brown like the company's Moth Wing and Dark Clove are ideal pairings. If you're a bit more adventurous with your decor choices, Sherwin-Williams' Distance, a dusty denim blue and Haven, a soft shade of green, are ideal choices.
“We believe 2019 will be a renaissance of the 1970s - with a twist. In the coming year, we will embrace our pioneering spirits and artisan ingenuity,” says Sue Wadden, director of color marketing, Sherwin-Williams. “Our 2019 Color of the Year, Cavern Clay, embodies renewal, simplicity and free-spirited, bohemian flair.” Be Inspired ......

Renovation of an historic residence in New York by Reunion Goods & Services

While surfing on internet today I saw this beautiful renovation project. It's the Osborne building residence in New York renovated by the company Reunion Goods & Services. Loved the way they renovated this chic residence. Especially the fresh look by using lots of white on the walls and ceilings. They highlighted and restored the classic details. The living room looks so inviting with incredibly tall ceilings, a beautiful parquet floor and a built-in mirror over the fireplace. Also the kitchen and the bathroom look so completey different now. The kids bedrooms look now fresh and comfortable for kids to sleep and play here. Please take a look below, this is what goes into modernizing an historic apartment. At the end I showed the photos from the situation before. What a fantastic transformation by Reunion Goods & Services. Be Inspired by this great renovation project.

More about the Osborne building residence:
Completed in 1885 and catty-corner to Carnegie Hall, the Osborne at 205 W 57th Street is considered one of the great apartment buildings of New York City. Reunion Goods & Services, in collaboration with architects Fogarty Finger Architecture modernized a 2,700 square, 3 bedroom / 3 bath apartment while highlighting and restoring the classic details. Designed for a family with 2 young children, Reunion helped the clients achieve their goal of making the apartment sophisticated and chic, while remaining inviting and comfortable. Reunion used rich fabrics such as boiled wools and velvets to add pops of color and sourced much of the furniture from contemporary up-and-coming designers. The blue cage Nour Lamp by French artist Julie Pfligersdorffer was one of an edition of twelve and several wall coverings were made by Cavern. Artwork includes a gorgeously saturated photograph in the living room by Eric Cahan from his ‘Sky Series’ and a mural by Rebekah Maysles. The plump Pumpkin sofa is from Ligne Roset.
