Stunning line of handmade jewellery by Chao-Hsien Kuo

Enchanting Finland is a stunning line of handmade jewellery made by designer Chao-Hsien Kuo.
Delicate and ethereal, the collection is inspired by a tall, purple-pink flowing wildflower that grows by the side of the roads in Finland. This blogpost is a repost of my blog of 18-04-2015. Be Inspired ........

The jewellery is a perfect combination of hand-crafted work that’s aided by modern technology. Chao uses anticlastic forming, a way of hammering wood by hand that takes years to master. To further play with the reflection of light on the jewellery, she attached 24K gold foil on top of the silver jewellery. Each piece is unique and can’t be replicated.

Interior design: Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel's Apartment

I always liked to read more about Coco Chanel's life. I am really inspired by her personality and her beautiful, elegant clothes and found this interesting review with pictures from her apartment. Hope you like it too ...... Love all these beautiful and elegant antique furniture combined with art. This article appeared earlier at The Coveteur (in 2013). Be Inspired .........
During the fashion shows, which took place down stairs, Gabrielle Chanel would sit on the staircase. Thanks to the mirrors she could see everything taking place, but no one could see her. She wanted to know the immediate reaction, if the journalists and clients were pleased with the collection. – Chanel HQ
Coco was photographed many times in this iconic white chair. The octagonal shape of the mirror on the wall was the inspiration for the cap of CHANEL No.5. It is also the same shape of the iconic Place Vendome, which Coco could see out of her window of her residence at the Ritz Hotel.
The camellia flower was also very important to Coco Chanel. It symbolized purity and longevity in Asia and was very prevalent in her designs.
Wheat symbolizes prosperity and can be seen throughout Coco’s apartment.
The top of these tables are black lacquer, but the first time they were marble. Gabrielle Chanel wanted to take off the marble and wanted to have the black lacquer. It may remind you of her make-up- black lacquer with the logo on top. – CHANEL HQ
Coco was a Leo and she incorporated it’s symbol, the Lion, into her personal space.
Japanese deer could be seen in pairs throughout the apartment.
In contrast to Coco’s personal space, the staircase had a heavy art- deco influence.

Flashback: Inspiring collection from Naeem Khan F/W 2012, seen at NYFW

Naeem Kahn has always designed with a nod toward his native India. But this season, inspired by a trip home last Fall, Kahn translated the extremes of Indian culture, from Tilaka dots to elaborate paisleys into a breathtaking collection worthy of Maharajah splendor. The title “The Body as a Canvas: From the Mughal Paisley to the Hindu Tilakas” tells the story. The collection featured mostly neutral colors, letting the fantastic workmanship shines. Earlier I wrote more blogs about this inspiring fashion designer, SEE HERE

PHOTOGRAPHY: DUTCH TULIP FIELDS - AERIAL PHOTOS

Stunning aerial Photo series of Tulip fields in the Netherlands. When you think of tulips, you cannot help but think of the Netherlands. It has become a beloved symbol for the country and every year tourists flock there to see the glorious flowers in bloom. And how better to capture these fields of tulips than by photographing them from the sky. French photographer Normann Szkop teamed up with pilot Claython Pender for this aerial photo shoot. The stunning photographs reveal what appear to be fields of geometric bursts of colour in every hue of the rainbow. This blogpost is a repost of my blog from 25-02-2021. Be Inspired ......
