Art: Colorful Abstract Art by Dutch artist Arie Koning

While surfing earlier on internet I saw these beautiful, colorful abstract paintings from the Dutch artist Arie Koning. Arie Koning captures the essence of flowers. He invites you to experience the joy and energy in the deepest heart of the flower, as expressed in the light and colors of his colorful paintings. This particularly gives expression to the deepest core of flower, the nature, the soul of the flower. I am a huge fan of this inspiring artist. I decided today to repubish the blog I wrote earlier about his work (01-09-2021). Be Inspired .........

Professioneel kunstschilder Arie Koning legt in zijn abstracte schilderijen een wereld vast achter de bloemvormen. Binnen de kunststromingen is ‘abstract’ een richting binnen de moderne kunst waarin niet wordt geprobeerd om objecten uit de natuurlijke wereld exact weer te geven. De abstracte schilderijen van hedendaags kunstschilder Arie Koning onderscheiden zich door de warme kleuren, de diepte, de vreugde en het licht.

Irish Textile Designer stitches stools, knits wool shirts for chairs

Textile Designer Claire-Anne O´Brien stitches stools, knits wool shirts for chairs. 

Combine a fascination with fabric, love of furniture and fascination with scale and the result may be both more comical and comfortable that you would expect. This blogpost is a repost of my blog from 03-02-2012. Be Inspired .......

About the designer:

Claire-Anne O'Brien is a textile designer specialising in knitting. Originally from Ireland she has graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2010 with a Masters in Textiles. Her work plays with technique and scale creating playful and tactile fabrics for interiors. This sculptural approach to textiles brings fabrics to life in three dimensions through form exploration and furniture. Instead of draping a shirt of the back of a chair, she proposes an entertaining alternative: cover it with a comfortable lambswool button-down sweater complete with ribs, cuffs, button holes, cut and fashioned to envelope and pad your seat. Below you will find some results of her beautiful work.

Painting colors: Top selling Benjamin Moore Blues ......

I am in love with these lovely soft blue hues from Benjamin Moore. I always had some blue colors like these in every house I have lived before. I am not surprised that the colors below are top selling colors at Benjamin Moore. They are inviting, fresh and pleasant to see. You can also use them very well for homestaging, to sell your house quicker as they give a soft and harmonious atmosphere in house. Here they are: Boothbay gray, Breath of fresh air, November skies, MT Rainer gray, Nimbus gray, Quiet moments, Santorini, Van Cortland blue, Van Deusen blue. I wrote earlier a blog about the positive effect of the color blue for homestaging, see THIS LINK Be Inspired .....

Runway: Chanel F/W 2026-27, seen at Paris Fashion Week

Discover the Chanel F/W 2026-27 RTW collection by Matthieu Blazy presented during Paris Fashion Week 2026. The F/W 2026 collection is Blazy's second RTW collection for the fashion house - a significant moment, as it showcases how Blazy is settling into Chanel and where his vision will take it in the future. "I wish to create a canvas for women to be unapologetically who they are and who they want to be,” Blazy shared in the show notes ...... The Blazy Tweed Skirt Suit
Blazy revisited some of the house codes on the runway and specifically doubled down on the Chanel skirt suit. "The suit serves as the central canvas, ready to reflect whoever wears it. Boldly reimagined, it encompasses ribbed knits to classic tweeds and intricate fabrics woven with artificial fibres, lurex and silicone alongside natural gauze," the show notes shared. 
Drop Waists
A running theme on the runway: drop waists. Executed in everything from ankle-length dresses to low-slung miniskirts, the dropped-waist silhouette taps into the 1920s silhouettes that were popular in the early days of the Chanel house (low-rise skirt-trend).

Ornamental Dresses
A signature on Blazy's Chanel runway? Ornamental pieces that are instilled with a sense of joy. On the F/W 2026 runway, this resulted in embellished dresses in shades of celadon, bubblegum pink and sherbet.
