Famous for his iconic sense of style and glamour, Parkinson’s unexpected and unique approach brought a freshness to the sometimes staid genres of fashion and portrait photography. More about Norman Parkinson (1913 - 1990)

Norman Parkinson established his first photographic studio in 1934 and following World War II rapidly became one of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar most prominent photographer. Sharing with Toni Frissel the honor of being the first to have brought models outdoors, the British photographer privileged a realistic and impulsive aesthetic. He brought glamour and fantasy to his narratives that featured colorful and elegant yet humorous compositions that often took place in exotic landscapes - ‘I like there to be a joke in practically every photo I take.’ He discovered such models as Grace Coddington and Jerry Hall whom he depicted in 1975 in the USSR and pushed a certain Brian Ferry fascinated by her portrait to ask her to pose for a Roxy Music album cover and become her girlfriend. Rigorous yet surrealist are adjectives that would perfectly describe not only his images but also the man. The quintessential British charmer had an incredible allure and attitude dedicated to style.

It was to an astounding number of 5,000 guests and a star-studded front row at Florence’s Piazzale Michelangelo that CR Runway made its official debut. A fashion show unlike any other, this unprecedented multi-branded affair— done with LuisaViaRoma in celebration of its 90th anniversary —was blown up to spectacular proportions with a whopping total of 90 looks worn by iconic ‘90s supers like Lara Stone and Natasha Poly alongside today’s buzziest models, including Gigi and Bella Hadid. Personally curated and styled by Carine Roitfeld, the ‘90s-themed show featured full Fall/Winter 2019 looks from Gucci, Dior and more and archival pieces from Mugler and Christian Lacroix. Charlotte Licha is a French fashion brand founded in Paris in 2009. The brand is known for its modern, sophisticated designs that combine classic French style with contemporary trends. Charlotte Licha's collections feature a range of clothing and accessories for both men and women including dresses, blouses, trousers, skirts, jackets, coats, bags and shoes. The brand has become popular for its timeless pieces that are both stylish and comfortable. Charlotte Licha also offers a range of accessories such as scarves, hats and jewelry to complete any look. Be Inspired .......

More about the designer:

Charlotte Licha, born and raised in Beirut, in a family that helped her to cultivate an artistic taste from childhood. Since she was 12, she started sketching her first dresses; ”Since that time my small world started to be created”; she says. At the age of 19 and after gaining a high diploma in fashion design, pattern-making and fashion marketing; the designer went to study photography which made of her a designer hungry for fashion and gifted with an eye for beauty; which leads her more to the fashion world.

Being fashion consultant for years, for photo sessions and chief designer, creating and designing couture and ready to wear collections for many Lebanese and international fashion houses, enriched her career and experience. In 2009, after several back and forth in Europe including France and Spain, she moved back to Lebanon to start a new chapter in her professional life. Her career as a woman in the business began and with the support of her husband they established the “Global Fashion Group”, a company that produces luxurious evening dresses and sells for more than 30 boutiques all over the world.

In 2011, Charlotte begins her steps towards the city center of fashion and design. She exhibits her collection in January at the show ready-to-wear in Paris. Although with a positive approach still her ambitions and aspirations were insufficient for the designer. She began her steps towards the fashion where she could best express her personal taste and vision; the woman in her outer and inner beauty and personality: "Sometimes two tissues connect me to a person or a scene." With passion and precision, the designer creates her dresses by searching a perfect harmony between her vision and the personality of her client. She enjoys with her fabrics and sewing materials which traces her steps towards an original knowledge and a perfection for the fashion; the sophisticated dresses, the elegant curves, the crafted embroideries translate in majestic dresses which every women dream about. In 2013, Charlotte decided to go to the heart of the haute couture world to dedicate herself to her dream in fashion design. She showed her first couture collection in Paris during the haute couture fashion week in January 2014.
