Furniture Design: The Peacock Lounge Chair from Bend Goods

A few pieces caught my eye this week, like this beautiful indoor/outdoor lounge chair, called the Peacock Lounge Chair from the company Bend Goods. It is their updated version of the iconic, 1970’s wicker design. In place of the wicker, they brought their own flavor to the chair, using a geometric pattern and their signature wire material. Whether you choose to use the chair indoors or out, the bold look will definitely make a statement.

Heated Outdoor furniture 'Helios' by Galanter & Jones

I was inspired by this interesting design: the Helios Heated Lounge by the designers Galanter & Jones. Designed and handmade in California. The simplest and most welcome innovation in garden furniture we've seen. What's so great about it, you ask? It's warm! The smooth contemporary design is nice and ergonomic, great for lounging or for good conversation. When you plug it in - using about as much energy as a hair dryer - it gets all nice and warm. Galanter & Jones have brought the principles of radiant floor heat to their stylish and comfortable caststone seating.

Galanter & Jones is a design + fabrication studio, run by brother/sister duo Aaron and Miranda Jones. Founded in 2012, they debuted with a line of heated outdoor seating, the first of its kind. The products are designed by Aaron and made in conjunction with talented California tradespeople.
