Interior Design: Amazing London House & Garden by Studio MacLean

Be inspired by this amazing London house & garden studio! British interiors firm Studio MacLean designed the renovation of this West London property – which measures 371 square metres – and its garden studio for a family who wanted to update the interiors with timeless finishes. Studio MacLean used monochrome paintwork, oak chevron flooring, cherry wood and marble finishes to overhaul this London house. Love many aspects of this house, like the monochrome palette in white and black, the oak parquet, the kitchen with wood and marble, the black custom-made steel doors as well as black painted radiator and staircase. And last but least the beautiful lighting design.

Best bathroom design organized by plumbing manufacturer Salini S.R.L

I am completely in love with this beautiful bathroom design. What a great color use, beautiful tiles and such a warm atmosphere! This is a winning project of the competition for the best bathroom design, organized by plumbing manufacturer Salini S.R.L. (a project in Barcelona, Spain).

The main features of the room are a French casement window opening onto the balcony and a small stove. There is a free-standing bath on a marble podium in the center of the room. The walls, painted in a complex cherry color are complemented by the dark grey enameled MDF panels. The interior has a lot of copper parts - copper plumbing, a table. The frames of the mirror and the painting, window fittings, a cache pot and metallic elements of the lamp above the bathroom. There are handmade cement tiles with a geometric pattern on the floor. The color of the tiles repeats the color of the walls. The design is based on the contrast of matte and shiny surfaces. The dark matte finishing of the room becomes an excellent background for glossy white plumbing, which has the primary role to play in the room. Be Inspired ......

I saw lots of inspiring elements in this condo, like this stunning black & white kitchen design with marble counter top and black back splash. I am completely in love with this kitchen! The bathroom, the bath tub, the black flooring of the bathroom, the living room, the black doors of steel, the wall with stone bricks, the outdoor room etc. 

GET TO KNOW JAE

Jae grew up studying classical music, which inspired her big move from Seoul to New York at a very young age. Even after pursuing her opera performance degree, she couldn’t ignore her love for fashion & design.

This path may have inspired her eclectic approach to design, which revolves around careful consideration of a client’s tastes and personality while incorporating and acknowledging the intrinsic architectural characteristics of a space. Her past projects range from full brownstone restorations to tackling expansive industrial lofts all over NYC. Jae’s overall goal in designing a home is to mix and match unique pieces, while seamlessly balancing the traditional, contemporary and eccentric into fun and functional living spaces.
