Art: Colorful Abstract Art by Dutch artist Arie Koning

While surfing earlier on internet I saw these beautiful, colorful abstract paintings from the Dutch artist Arie Koning. Arie Koning captures the essence of flowers. He invites you to experience the joy and energy in the deepest heart of the flower, as expressed in the light and colors of his colorful paintings. This particularly gives expression to the deepest core of flower, the nature, the soul of the flower. I am a huge fan of this inspiring artist. I decided today to repubish the blog I wrote earlier about his work (01-09-2021). Be Inspired .........

I visited in March 2016 an Art Fair close at my place and found some beautiful and colorful digital artwork from the Dutch artist Jeanet Hage (Deco-Foto). Project design is what Jeanet Hage always has inspired and her inspiration source is nature. She says: 'Nature can offer immeasurable possibilities for photographing'. Jeanet is since 2009 busy with Digital Art. This means: art created by the computer. She is using merely her own materials, unless it concerns an assignment for a client. A new design starts by working with forms, lines and colors of a selected photo. The images of the original photo are often not recognizable anymore and became (half) abstract and figurative creations. Are you also inspired by this interesting abstract work? Paolo Pejrone, landscape architect, dendrologist, plant collector, writer and hands-on gardener has been Italy’s leading garden designer in recent decades. He loves to tease. He claims to practise ‘the oldest profession in the world’. No, he insists, not what you think, but the one described in the Bible: ‘The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to till it and keep it’ (Genesis 2:15). This means, he says, seriously this time: “Cultivate and care”, an approach he learned when training with two great twentieth century gardeners: Russell Page and Roberto Burle Marx. Paolo Pejrone was born in Turin in Piedmont in 1941. He first learned gardening from his grandmother and from a peasant couple who taught him to grow vegetables, raise chickens and propagate plants. When he was fourteen, this farm was sold to a nunnery: “One day in June I lost my world. I have spent all my life trying to rebuild it.” At 16 he met the celebrated Italian designer Pietro Porcinai who encouraged him to graduate from the Polytechnical school of Turin. In 1970 he met Russell Page who sent him off to visit English gardens, bringing back notes and sketches for commentary. From there, Pejrone went on to Brazil to work with Burle Marx. Pejrone has since created gardens in Germany, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Austria, France and the UK. In Italy, after Page’s death in 1984, he took on much of the latter’s prestigious clientele, including the Agnelli family at the famous Villar Perosa. Pejrone also worked for years as an editor for Condé Nast and still writes a weekly column for a major Italian newspaper, La Stampa. Italian vice president of the International Dendrology Society, he also was a founding member of the Italian landscape architects’ association (AIAPP).

Beautiful artwork by illustrator Edward Julius Detmold

 Would like to share with you today this beautiful and refined artwork with flowers and butterflies from the illustrator Edward Julius Detmold 
(1883 - 1957). Be Inspired .....

More about the artist Edward Julius Detmold (1883–1957)
Edward Julius was a watercolourist, illustrator and printmaker specialising in natural history subjects and the creation of his own fantastic worlds. Like his twin brother Charles Maurice he was educated privately and studied creatures in the zoo. He worked with him until Charles Maurice’s death in 1908. Edward Julius settled in Montgomeryshire by which time he had established a reputation as a book illustrator working with great exactitude. The Fables of Aesop, 1909 and Maurice Maeterlinck’s The Life of the Bee, 1911 were notable examples. For a few months in 1905 the brothers were associates of RE but resigned. Edward Julius was a prolific exhibitor at Fine Art Society, Brook Street Art Gallery, Arlington and Baillie Galleries, NEAC, RA, RI and elsewhere.
