Interior: The Beauty & Simplicity of Japanese Interior Design

Love the beauty & simplicity of Japanese interior design combined with wood & water elements and traditional Japanese plants such as bamboo and bonsai. The incorporation of unique aesthetics borrowed from Taoism makes Japanese interior design beautiful, simple and modest. There are several ways that you can incorporate these styles in your home to achieve their level of harmony brought by them. This blogpost is from 08-01-2015 and will be republished today. Saturating some of the unique aspect of nature into the interior design of your home is one of the main pillars of the Japanese culture. In this way they are showing respect to the world they live in. You can add traditional Japanese plants such as bamboo and bonsai or use other plants as long as you keep them light and lovely. The presence of life and the green environment will give your home Japanese feel. Another aspect of Japanese interior design involves the use of large and expansive windows to bring out the beauty of nature inside the house.

Japanese interior design also appreciates the serene sound of bubbling water. You can incorporate this type of setting in your house by having soaking tabs installed. To give it a more Japanese look, try having the tabs small, deep and made with a side bench.

Japanese interior designs use wood elements and bamboo as a way of trying to harmonize nature into their homes. By using wooden flooring, doors and frames can (like bamboo), you will get that Japanese feel.

In the entry of your house, you can have a Japanese style entryway where it will serve as a place to receive visitors. You can place a shelf where your guests can store their shoes. Don't forget the indoor slippers they can put on. To enhance the Japanese style, you can have a stone tile flooring in the entry way.

Interior Design: Elegant, classic dining room with fresh, Spring-like colors

 For long time readers of my blog, you’ll know that I love elegants, stylish, classic interiors combined with antiques and art. Today I saw this beautiful London living room with antique mirror wall & custom made coffee table by VSP Interiors. A classic design combined with fresh, spring-like colours. Isn't it a beautiful place? Love the green accents as well as the chosen textiles (green trellis fabric for the curtains from Brunschwig & Fils). The antique fireplace helps to keep the classic mood without becoming too modern. The mirror on either side is particularly important to the design, as it bounces off the light and doubles the feeling of space in the long (but not hugely deep) double drawing room. Be Inspired ......

Iain grew up in Africa and Malaysia and developed a passion for photography at an early age. On moving to London, he worked as an account handler for Saatchi & Saatchi but left to pursue his photographic career. After spending several years living and working in New York, he is now based back in London but continues to work internationally.

Iain loves to capture images that have a strong graphic and textural quality, often searching out the graphical symmetry in chaos, while still maintaining the personality and emotion of the subject. His career has lead him to shoot campaigns for many of the world’s top brands and receive commissions from a host of top international magazines.

Commenting on the paint shoot, Iain says: ‘I love the fusion between paint and model. The resulting shapes are as opulent as any piece of bespoke couture. The excitement and anticipation as we waited to see the next piece of unpredictable chaos was electric. There was something magical about how random chance materialised into beautiful images in front of our eyes.

ART: Colorful Digital Artwork by Dutch artist Jeanet Hage (03)

I recently visited an Art fair close at my place and found some beautiful and colorful digital artwork from the Dutch artist Jeanet Hage (Deco-Foto).Below you will find digital art which was made of green veggies. More about the artist

Project design is what Jeanet Hage always has inspired and her inspiration source is nature. She says: 'Nature can offer immeasurable possibilities for photographing'. Jeanet is since 2009 busy with Digital Art. This means: art created by the computer. She is using merely her own materials, unless it concerns an assignment for a client. A new design starts by working with forms, lines and colors of a selected photo. The images of the original photo are often not recognizable anymore and became (half) abstract and figurative creations. Are you also inspired by this interesting abstract work? Lovely dining room with botanical elements & geometic green wallpaper
